HI,

Just wanted to tell you that you did a great job honoring grandma on your blog. She would have loved it! She was a lovely and strong woman who left a beautiful legacy by way of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and yes, even great-great-grandchildren. We have al been blessed to have been touch by her love!
I am your dads cousin Wilma, standing to the right of your uncle Albert in the photograph posted on your blog. Next to me in the picture is Betty, my sister, who is also standing next to your dad.
Good luck on your academic pursuits and what ever road you travel. I am sure your parents are proud of you.
Regards, Wilma....

Hey cousin!
Wilma sent a link to your blog to my mom who sent it to me. I hope that's cool.

Let's see, I am the girl with the long brown hair towards the middle of the photo of the great grandkids and great great grandkids, in case you can't tell from my user pic. An excellent blog post honoring Tia Fina. She would offer the shirt off of her back if you needed it. An incredible woman.

I didn't get a chance to tell you, I went to SVA for undergrad and work at MoMA. Good luck w/ Alfred Univ! My friends who went there loved it.

Hi Marcus-
What a lovely thing you've done. I'm printing the photo of Tia Fina - with your permission. It brought tears to my eyes. I'm Chely's cousin who did the eulogy at the cemetery. Someone in your family asked me for a copy and I can't remember who it was. I'll gladly make copies for anyone interested. I translated it into english as well. Can you find out who wanted it?
I am also an artist. Besides writing I am a maskmaker. It's wonderful to have other artists in the family. I hope you and Taina get to know one another. She's the light of my life.
Namaste-
